Rainier Cherries are back
Washington's favorite cherries are back! I picked these up at a local u-pick strawberry farm, along with pre-picked berries. Now I just need to bake, can, or freeze things--although we'll probably just eat the cherries.
We also bought a couple of pounds of Bing cherries at the farmer's market, but they came in a bag instead of a pretty wooden box. I'd really like to get my hands on some sour cherries, which are hard to find in these parts. Yum!

This may be blasphemy, but I actually prefer Bings. Raniers are just too sweet for me. Who am I kidding, I'll eat pretty much any kind of cherry.

Heck I just love cherries.
And I can't get Raniers here. And the Bings are really expensive this year as well.
Enjoy!
Those look good. We have great fruit in California, too, and have been eating our fair share of berries. Tis the season :)
They look delicious.
Wow, those look great! Enjoy (but I'm sure you already have!!) Have a great one!
That box is great - so much better than the green plastic baskets! This time of year is the best. Mmmmm... Raniers. Next up, the berries!
